Recovered Stolen Vehicle

On April 10, 2010 at approximately 12:05 p.m., while patrolling in the 3300 block of S. Canosa Ct. a Sheridan officer was alerted of a nearby stolen vehicle by the Lojack tracking device installed in the patrol vehicle. After tracking the GPS signal for a short time, Englewood and Sheridan officers were able to recover the vehicle in a parking lot near the area of US285 and S. Santa Fe Dr.

Assault

On April 10, 2010 at approximately 8:50 p.m., a Sheridan officer was working off duty in the 3500 block of S. Platte River Dr. The officer heard yelling in the parking lot, and upon checking, located two females that were involved in a physical altercation. After investigating, one suspect was summonsed into court charged with assault.

Motor Vehicle Theft

On April 12, 2010 at approximately 8:30 a.m., Sheridan Police responded to the 3400 block of W. Quincy Ave. on a reported motor vehicle theft. Upon arrival officers learned that the victims vehicle was taken from the parking lot overnight. The vehicle was entered into the nationwide database as stolen, and possible suspect information has been obtained. The case is under investigation at this time.

Attempted Motor Vehicle Theft

On April 14, 2010 at approximately 8:05 p.m., Sheridan Police responded to the 3600 block of S. River Point Parkway on a reported attempted motor vehicle theft. When officers arrived, they learned that the victim’s vehicle was parked in a parking lot for approximately two hours. When the victim returned, she found her vehicles ignition was destroyed but the suspect(s) were unable to start the vehicle. The damage to the ignition is estimated at over one thousand dollars
